Young adult gathering: local foods picnic, volley ball, frisbee, conversation and cinema. Please bring something locally grown to share -- and your own table service (plate, cup, fork,...). We'll supply Corn-on-the-Cob and beverages. (We'll also have some compostable tableware on hand if you forget to bring yours.) Location: Zion Mennonite Church 149 Cherry Street, Souderton, PA. Where can I buy "locally-grown" food? Many Bucks County Farms market locally grown food. Or check the Montgomery County Farms directory. Many Philadelphia Farmers' Markets also carry products from Pennsylvania farms. Where can I find some new recipes for local food in season? Check out Simply in Season cookbook and on-line guide to fruits and vegetables. Organic Kitchen -- links to thousands of recipes. What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a co-operative venture between a farm and nearby consumers. Typically, a farmer will arrange to supply a variety of fresh farm products weekly during the growing season to individual families or community groups for a price contracted in advance. Information about CSA's (such as Blooming Glen Farm) will also be available at the picnic.
