Sustainable Living Festival:
Local foods lunch, displays, conversation
What to bring:
- display or handouts to share -- about peace & justice or sustainable living practices happening in your church,
home, or community; or
- something locally grown to share; also
- your own table service (plate, cup, fork,...);
- but come, look, listen, and taste -- even if you can't bring something to share.
We'll supply beverages and some hearty locally-grown food to sample.
(We'll also have some compostable tableware on hand if you forget to bring yours.)
Location: Germantown Mennonite Church
21 West Washington Lane, Philadelphia, PA. Phone: 215-843-5599
- Where can I buy "locally-grown" food?
- Where can I find some new recipes for local food in season?
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture
(CSA) is a co-operative venture between a farm and nearby consumers.
Typically, a farmer will arrange to supply a variety of fresh farm products weekly during the growing season
to individual families or community groups for a price contracted in advance.
